With the short amount of time being in this class I have learned a lot. Walking into this class for the first time I didn't really know anything about photography, but I wanted to learn. Picking up the camera for the first time I didn't really know what to do and how to take a good picture. Within the the first 2 weeks of being in this class I had already learned so much like all of the compositions and how to take a better and more interesting picture. This was the starting point for taking all the photos. Also, at the same time I had learned about lightroom, which I struggled with for a little. At this point I know so much about photography. I have learned so much more than I had ever thought I would have in this class. I have learned about photoshop, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and so much more. One of the biggest struggles for me was photoshop. When I first opened the program I had no idea what I was doing. At where I am now I know what to do with the picture Im working on to make it better. This is an example one of my worst and some of my best photos. I thought the picture to the left is one of my worst because the white balance is off and there is not really anything interesting in it. The photos to the right, I think, are the best because they both have good focus, and depth of field. These are some examples from my photoshop work. Like I mentioned before, this was one of the hardest things for me to learn because there was so much going on and so many tools. It took me a few assignments to get used to photoshop. The picture on the left is my worst photoshop work and the multiple me picture is one of my best. I think the car photo is my worst because it is not as clean as it should be around the car and the lines on the ground. I think the multiple me photo is my best because you can't see any lines from the layers and it looks more real. Another thing I have learned this year is about white balance. In the picture to the left I did not have the white balance set properly and it looked yellow. The other picture looks better because the white balance is set right and does not look so yellow.

During this assignment I learned that when panning it is very important to have the right settings and to move along with the subject at the same pace they are moving at.
For my last photo assignment I did food. While shooting I wanted to make sure to get the right light so I used the natural light from a window and also used the white balance on my camera. During this shoot I learned that lighting is important and you sometimes have to set up the objects in the pictures before you take them. ISO:400
Aperture: f / 4.5 Shutter speed: 1/15 sec For editing of this picture I brought up the exposure and brought down the contrast, whites, and shadows. I did this because I wanted to bring out and show the texture. In this assignment we learned how to take a good portrait picture with all of the right settings. After we shot the photo we took it into photoshop and added some layers. During this I learned that it is very important to get the settings right while taking the photo. Also, I learned about framing the photos in photoshop.
For my sixth photo assignment I chose to do architecture. I went around my house and shot different angles from the outside of the house. During this shoot I learned that different angles are important and can add a lot to a picture. ISO: 400
Aperture: f / 3.5 Shutter Speed: 1/60sec For editing on this photo I originally had it in color, but then changed it to black and white so you could focus more on the architecture in the picture. Along with turning it into black and white I turned down the highlights and blacks and turned up the exposure. During this assignment we took different pictures of people in the same location and then edited them to look like there was multiple of the same person. Also, during this assignment I learned that it is very important to make sure the camera is in the exact same place while shooting the pictures. Along with that, in photoshop I learned how to use photo stacks and get better at using layer masks.
This week I shot shadows and light. During my experience it was easy to find shadows, but not every shadow I saw was too interesting. During this assignment I learned that you have to be very creative and think outside the box to get interesting and cooler pictures. ISO: 1600
Aperture: f/4.0 Sutter Speed: 1/400 sec For editing on his picture I brought down the exposure, highlights, shadows, and blacks to bring out the shadows and show the details of the pumpkin at the same time. For my fourth shooting assignment I chose to do black and white because so far I haven't turned any photos into black and white yet. While doing this assignment I looked for mostly textures that I thought would look good in black and white. Also, I learned that some pictures just look better in black and white than they would in color. ISO: 1600
Shutter speed: 1/2500sec Aperture: f / 8.0 For the editing of this picture I first had to turn the picture to black and white, since it was in color. Then, I brought up the highlights and blacks to make the tree stand out more and make the texture more visible. For this assignment we were told to take five panoramic photos. This was my first time learning to take panorama pictures on a camera like this. With this assignment I not only learned how to take a panorama picture, but I also learned how to merge all the photos I took together ,in photoshop, to create one.
